Mustard Seed Elementary School (MSES), which is located in Siem Reap, Cambodia, was established in October 1st, 2009.
The school began with seven students, and year after year, classrooms and the number of students have increased.
Currently, we have 105 students in six classes from 1st to 6th grade. Until 2023, we have produced 111 number of students from 8 classes.
According to our vision: “Christian Servant Leaders for All Nations”, we are not only providing intellectual, social, emotional, and physical educations but also the spiritual education by including the biblical foundation in the curriculum.
Through these teaching programs, we hope that our children can become good Christians and have a sense of making wise decisions in their lives based on biblical principles. Therefore, as we run a full-time curriculum, we’ve been using the government’s educational guidance with some extensional subjects such as PE, art, library, music, Bible and English. Furthermore, there are some volunteering teams coming from overseas in our school schedules for short periods of time. They prepare some lessons and activities based on the school's curriculum to interact with students.
These activities give children an opportunity to explore their passions and to find out their talents. As I have been working in MSES for more than ten years, I have seen that God is working in this school. He has brought us joy when we despaired. He provided us when we lacked in resources. He has given us strength when we were exhausted. Although it is always challenging to be a good teacher, I am extremely happy to be a teacher here in Mustard Seed Elementary School, because I strongly believe that God has called me here to work with Him for His kingdom.
